Ripple Just Unveiled Its Next Big Move for RLUSD
- Ripple Mint allows institutions to easily mint and manage RLUSD, enhancing stablecoin operations.
- The platform supports both web interface and API connections for automation in financial workflows.
- RLUSD's regulated status and multi-chain expansion position it favorably for increased adoption in various blockchain applications.
Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, a new platform that lets institutions mint, redeem, and manage its U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD. The company wants to make stablecoin operations faster and easier as demand from financial firms continues to grow.
The new initiative gives customers two ways to use RLUSD. They can manage it through a web interface or connect directly through APIs. This allows exchanges, fintech companies, market makers, and other institutions to automate their workflows instead of relying on manual processes.
The platform includes tools to mint and redeem RLUSD, bridge the stablecoin across supported blockchains, track transactions, and monitor account balances. It also sends real-time notifications for key events, making it easier for institutions to manage payments and settlements.
Ripple said RLUSD’s regulated status remains a key advantage. Standard Custody & Trust Company, a trust company regulated by the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), issues the stablecoin.
The firm also continues to expand RLUSD across multiple blockchains. The stablecoin first launched on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum.
It now also runs on the XRPL EVM Sidechain, Base, Optimism, Ink, and Unichain. Ripple says this expansion will increase RLUSD’s use across exchanges, DeFi, payments, and other blockchain applications. The company also expects XRP to play a larger role in liquidity, settlement, swaps, collateral, and payments as RLUSD adoption grows.
The launch comes as XRP remains in focus. Analysts recently pointed to a key resistance level at $1.3 that could shape the token’s next move after several weeks of consolidation. While Ripple Mint does not directly affect XRP’s price, it strengthens Ripple’s long-term strategy to build institutional infrastructure around RLUSD and the XRP Ledger.

Ripple has already made Ripple Mint available to existing RLUSD customers. The company plans to expand the platform over time and turn it into a broader hub for stablecoin operations and liquidity management.
